Fiona Mactaggart today spoke to members of Slough’s meet and mingle group in St Mary’s church Hall, Wexham. Following a talk by a doctor on signs and symptoms of women’s cancers, she spoke about her personal experience of ovarian cancer. “It’s hard for families” she said, “if someone you care about has cancer, think about how you can help the people who love them to cope”.
She reminded her audience that for many people, like herself there is healthy life after cancer and she urged members to join her on October 25th in wearing pink to raise money for breast cancer. Then she answered questions from the audience on a range of matters from the future for Syria and religious persecution to litter and parking in Slough.
