Fiona Mactaggart, MP for Slough this week wore pink, encouraging others to do so for Wear it Pink Day on October 24th to raise awareness and money for Breast Cancer Campaign.
Fiona said, “1000 women die from breast cancer every month. There has been a lot of progress on cancer awareness and treatment but more still needs to be done. You can help by joining me in wearing pink. You can fundraise or just donate a small amount for taking part and it all goes to a great cause.”
Wear it Pink day is on October 24th 2014 and is organised by Breast Cancer Campaign. You can find out more by visiting the Wear it Pink website, http://wip.hmd.io/.
