Slough MP Fiona Mactaggart joined Sainsbury’s and Home Start Slough staff to celebrate it being chosen as Sainsbury’s’ Charity of the Year. Sainsbury’s shops around the country nominate and choose a charity to fundraise for and support, the Farnham Road branch picked Home Start Slough.
Fiona commented, “I am pleased that Home Start Slough has been picked as Charity of the Year by Sainsbury’s. It does great work training and supporting volunteers to use their experience to relieve the pressure on families facing stress. As a charity, they rely heavily on donations and with Sainsbury’s fundraising for the charity, I hope that it can overcome the financial challenges it has experienced and continue to provide a vital service for so many local children and their parents."
