Speaking at Labour's Women's Conference, Fiona Mactaggart launched OWL, the Older Women's Lobby.

Fiona said, "Research by beauty company L'Oreal shows women over 50 feel they are overlooked. Our aim is to bring older women together to campaign for a fair deal at work and support in their role as carers for children, grandchildren and elderly parents. Older women have faced unfair delays before they qualify for the pensions they saved for. Older women help their communities by supporting others and yet they often don't get the support they need.”

OWL groups will be formed in labour parties up and down the country to make sure that the views of older women are promoted and policy does not overlook the problems they face.
